About us
ŚILPA is built on quality craftsmanship and a distinct aesthetic — edgy, considered, and unafraid to stand out.
Founded by Myno Macheda in 2019, Śilpa grew from a deeply personal relationship with fashion as a form of self-expression. The name means “art” in Bangla, and that is exactly what the brand represents: a bridge between art and fashion, expressed through clothing. Threads of South Asian culture weave subtly through the brand’s DNA.
Every piece sits at the intersection of timeless making and contemporary design, intentional, bold, and built to be noticed.
OUR STORY
“Śilpa started in 2019 while I was studying fashion design at Salford University, but in many ways I felt like I had been building it long before that.
Clothes gave me confidence. It was almost my superpower, allowing me to say something without speaking.
Śilpa means ‘art’ in Bangla, which is my mother’s tongue, and that is exactly what the brand represents to me: a bridge between art and fashion.”
